Nice, clear focus on the chickadee. Compositionally, I would have preferred to see the bird more off centered, say by perhaps a closer crop on the right of the photo. |

Back for comments. A very nice nature shot but unfortunately I think voters will be looking for mother/child relationships. Although not easy to capture it would have scored much higher if a young bird were in frame as well. |

Since this is advanced, I would have cloned out the bands. They make it look less like this is in the wild and are a bit distracting with their bright colors compared to the nice subtle background. The bird is nice and sharp though. Maybe a little less centered on the composition. 6 |

The composition needs a little work. The subject matter could have been better. The image quality is ok. Could have been a little more creative. - 4 |

I assuem the bands give you the motherly information, cause I think sexes are the same in all chickadees. |

I wish there was a baby bird, a nest... something to show the "mother" aspect of this cute little gal. Great shot of the bird with the detail in the wings and feathers. |

I'm curious as to why that little birdie has such colorful wraps around its legs. Aside from that I think it's a good shot. For me, I wonder how this would look if cropped in a bit more from the left - to make the feeder even more off center. |

Nice image ... bit of a stretch for mother but it works |

Bird sitting on a feeder. Do birds even have to worry about feeding babies in winter time? Is this a part of the country where it is summer instead of winter? Anyway, this looks like shameless shoehorning to me and doesn't say anything to me about motherhood. It is a nice bird photo though. |

very nice, Since we almost always see birds sitting on a branch, this one stands out, especially because of the rounded handle and rounded feeder top. 7 did you try an off center composition? |
