The end of fun presents was a sure sign of adulthood, or of not being allowed to remain in childhood. Went for the old photo/sepia tone look because fathers receiving ties from their kids seems like such an age-old concept.
For the edit: levels, curves, softglow, curves, crop, levels, saturation, curves, saturation, old-photo, contrast, levels, curves, border, scale. |

| Great idea, poor lighting (could be the grayscale conversion). The lighting will keep this out of the top 10, but it really had potential. |

| The concept is perfect, as is the composition. I'm not crazy about the sepia & deckle edged look, though. |

| Good take on the theme. The test is, does it stand alone without the cation, most don't this does. |

| Tones seem a bit flat to me. I'm a sucker for contrast though. Good execution on a symbolic idea. |
