ON to your image...Very good composition - using leading lines, and rule of thirds. Details make the difference, and here i think the grass is too bright, and therfore distracting. black pavement might have been better, or even gray cement. Maybe a more colorful umbrella wold have had more impact. Antoher thought to help the appeal of this would be to alter the shaodws of the unbrella parts in the water, or refelct something in the water, or float something in the water (rubber ducks, leaves, a kids boat). I may have to take a shot like this for a challenge...thanks for the idea!
Techncially speaking, it may be a bit bright. not necessarily overexposed, but the black umbrella and grass are both bright - a darker (levels or curves) image would be better IMO.
I like the idea/concept, but i suspect the voters did not, and that was part of the reason for the low score. I think you did good thinkkng outside the box. |
