The composition is good but needs a bit of work Kim. the soft focus didn't help this image either. I think a portrait orientation versus a landscape orientation would have helped this a bit as the lower geese' feet are cut off.

Nice composition and natural color tones, but looks like there were some significant issues when saving for the Web (pixelation/compression artifacts/etc.). Too bad, because it looks like it is probably a really good shot. Would love to see a clean version of it.

too many jpeg artifacts, too much pixelized. It doesn't even look like it was taken by a digital camera

simple shot done well

like the idea but it looks like its distorted and out of focus

This is an 'almost' shot to me. Its almost realism and almost impresionim. Almost a phootgraph and almost a watercolor. This might be a lot better with advanced rules, punch up the light on the geese to separate them from the reflections, then soften it more for the watercolor effect. (Idle thoughts)

Nice, too bad the front one is OOF... maybe a smaller f stop for more DOF.

This image could use a little more clarity...

Nice colors. Bird shots are really tough. You did a nice job keeping the light areas away from being blown out which is common, but I feel like both birds should have been sharply focused and any pro bird shooter will advise you to ALWAYS hit a eye glint.

There's two birds, and that makes the brief fulfilled, certainly.
They just seem to be perched a bit uncomfortably within the picture.
Makes me feel "weird" looking at it.
Like I'm unsettled.
I think that a slightly better choice of composition would have helped the viewer (well, me) feel more at ease within your photo.
That said, I'm impressed at their synchronised preening routine.
Well done on capturing that!
