i like how the black chess piece sticks out but, the bishop looks out of focus and the horse on the left is in focus...maybe it would look a little better if the black piece was in focus. i like the idea though!

I find it kind of odd that the focus is on the knight to the left. Focusing on either the foremost piece (the bishop) or the farthest piece from the camera (the king) would make more sense to me.

Wow, I really like the Title and theme of this picture. Nice composition. The lines really bring a sense of depth.

I would like this better more in focus and with the white pieces not so overexposed. Good idea though.

I really thought quite awhile before I commented. I said to myself "Does the black belong? Or is it the focal point? " Hmmmm - I came to the conclusion that it was an added bonus and makes the shot!!! Great perspective. I like the DOF too.
