Had to go back several times to get the right light. I wanted an interesting sky and the sun to shine on the church.

This is my favorite. The glow of the church (the church has both the whitest white and blackest black in the picture - nice) brings your eye right to it, The simplicity of the surroundings frames it perfectly - the soft grass, the billowing clouds all in a nice range of grays- are a peaceful aurasurrounding the building. Technically everything is sharp, nice range from black to white. 10

Gorgeous sky tones, main subject a tad loud in that elegant surrounding, but I know not much can be done about it without some spot editing... 9

Nice tones with a great subject. Exposure was right on - the whites are perfectly white.

I was hoping heaven was in colour! Anyway. Good entry - the sky is very nice, the white of the church walls is beautiful. ~8

I love the stark white of the church. It draws your eye to the subject of the shot.

Nice dramatic sky here, excellent B+W shot, should do well. Good luck

Very nice tones make this image very engaging to look at. Off center cropping enhances the view that this church is a part of its environment. Nice work.

this is a familiar subject, i believe we have seen this before, still a stunning shot, b/w is lends well to the mood-8

I love B&W, but somehow i think this might have been better in colour. I see green grass and trees, a blue sky, and i think the roof of that church(?) may have a nice tone to it as well. seems a bit drab without it. nice composition either way.

I love clouds...and the church just adds to the composition...very nice, kind of dramatic, caught my eye right away!

hmm may have had more impact with color unless the building isn't white......

i would have preferred to see the color version of this. it seems too dark for my taste,

I must admit a soft spot for sculpted clouds. I hope that didn't sway my vote *too* far from what it would have been otherwise. :->

Awesome! I just love scenes like this, and the use of B&W is just great here (and it's not often I say that). Great job of bringing the clouds out, too!

How did you get the building so bright compared to the sky? I like the photo, compelling.

Really nice. Infrared? Just about a perfect image. Can't find much to critique about it. I would fix that patch of grass in the front for use outside of the challenge.

My only problem is that I don't generally associate gray clouds with "heavenly." I realize they're only gray because you converted to grayscale, but it's still a strange association.

Definetly among the highest, i cant see any flaw in this photo whatsoever. 10
