 The only post processing was cropping and USM. Taken with the lights off and a flashlight pointing at the base of the flower from the outside.

I can't believe this didn't finish in the top 3! This photo and the Finish Line were my top picks for this challenge...I'm just in disbelief. This is a wonderful photograph! It makes me want to crawl inside on the softness of the petal and go down to the core and check out what's going on down there!

Quite honestly I'm stunned this finished this low. I thought this made for a wonderful abstract. Apparently 19 other people agreed with me. (your 9's and 10's). This was my only 10 of the week, all challenges inclusive. I did give the first place photo a 9. I think I only gave 2 of those. That is a gorgeous photo and a deserving winner. I just can't fathom how this pulled 28 spots lower than mine even. This shows some tremendous vision and I'm very disappointed at the voters this time. This is really a wonderful photo.

I absolutely adore this image, but it gets a 9 instead of a 10 from me because nothing in it is *quite* in focus, unfortunately.

intriguing, with simple beauty, a pleasure to look at. I have become a member now and am revisiting this challenge and i must say again i think this is a stunning shot. It is also elegent and sensual i think. Now that i can vote-10
