A little satire here? Looks like a nice gouge to the forehead! The action is great and the capture of the emotion is Cery good! THUMBS UP!

Fantastic capture of motion and effort. Only improvements for me would be more fill-in light on his face and for his eyes to be more visible.
Not keen on border treatment.

white balance seems a bit on the bluish side...the skin tones are purple, though perhaps he is exerting himself quite a bit! lol Nice tilt, though, I think it really makes the shot very action packed and cool!

Personally I do not consider magazines to be in a horizontal shape... thats just me though. This is a pretty good action shot... I really like it... His face looks a little off color, but that may be how it was. I would have liked to have seen this as a vertical. Where were you when you took this?

He looks beat up, nice Cover-- 10

Nice photo, but upon cropping to fit an upright magazine cover, this shot would look a lot different. However, if you can show this to be a magazine with a "landscape" type cover orientation, I will change my vote by one point.

Does he have BLOOD on his forehead?

I am not sure I like the border. Weather or not it's used in the magazine or not, it doesn't really appeal to me. That being said, excellent capture. The focus and clarity are good on the water, I really like the stop motion there. lighting on the guy looks a little dark though, he doesn't seem to stand out like I'd like him to. looks like he's got a head injury. I'd like a bit more lighting on his face, but don't know what you really could have done about that.

face is a little purple or blue is that from the cold or camera b/w might have been better because of the face.

Nice action photo with good facial expressions. i dont think this border is legal but i'm not going to take off points because of it

Great action shot, you can really see the determination on the subject's face. I like the b&w border.

This is a really great action shot! I love the angle of the boater and his expression and how the image shows the difficulty with this sport and it's dangers. Despite it's format, I can see this on the cover of a mag. There are a just a few points I'd like to make that could be improved on. First, the letters on the paddle are distracting, and certainly after the challenge, this could be spot edited out. Secondly, I would have liked to have seen a bit more detail in the man's face. My first impression of your border was that I didn't like it, but the more I look at it, the better it sits with me. Overall, well done!

Had you cropped it so that it fit as a magazine cover, I would have given this a higher score. I like the picture itself. A great action shot, although the man is a little dark. It would be nice to see a little more of his definition.

The ONLY thing that keeps this from being a 10 is the purple tint of his face... otherwise, this is AWESOME! - 9

WOW! Wadda shot! I love captures like this! The only thing I would recommend would be to play with the hue and try to get his skin more.. euhm "normal" ;-) 8

good action shot. I like the blood, it adds drama. Is the colour of the face natural?

Nice action shot. I can almost feel the water. Just a side note -- what is that on his forehead. It looks like he was shot or something.
