After many days of rain in New York City finally a clear night. i went out to shoot the skyline from the east bank of the East River. I recorded many frames and was ready to leave after 2 to 3 hours shen I noticed that there was a large puddle and if squated I could see a reflection of the skyline in the puddle. It represented that even after much desaster that we will redouble our efforts to be NY strong and tough.

I also liked the scene graphically.

interesting use of the puddle for reflection. Kind of a shame the sky is such a bland gray, but it is still a very nice (night?) shot. I would suggest cropping off the left edge just slightly, so that there is more balance between those two, I believe they are trash cans. Just a thought.

was this taken from New Jersey? I almost recognize the promenade as one from Jersey City! :) Nice reflection in the puddle, not sure I agree with the bw presentation, but the contrast is very good.

This looks slightly tilted. It's a beautiufl view and reflection of the city though. For some reason, I don't really see this site in black and white... how did it look in color? I hope your one of the people coming tomorrow (Saturday) to the East Coast GTG . I could see this on an older magazine I think... prolly not one of the new glossy ones but thats just my opinion. I like the room at the top for type. Good luck.

Never heard of this magazine. Plus the pic looks tilted to the right.

Nicely done night shot, especially in black and white. The puddle reflection is a nice take on the skyline.

Nice pic. I would have cropped the bottom more and left more at the top. Good job!
