I was one of your 9 votes, the 8 fools that gave this a 3 should be ashamed or at least explain why they didnt like the shot.

Nice pose & natural smiles. You always seem to get the contrast just right.

Sweet photo. Their smiles make me smile. If this had been a bit sharper (I personally like sharp photos) I would have scored it higher. Good contrast.

cute couple! softer light and a down angle for the shot would call less attention to their noses. great light in the eyes, and great contrast. good luck to them!

nice & crisp
minor nit picks -
need a small amout of light from the rear or on the back ground (for seperation)
the slight bright spot on hisnose is distracting ...

That's a very appealing photograph. The high contrast treatment, not often used for 'romantic' portraits, really works so very well here. As well as complementing their obvious feelings of celebration, the treatment suits the couple's light-hearted and youthful pose. 7

I would think an Engagement, you would show some rings.....

Adding her hand with the ring would have added to the story

The strength of this photo is the smiles seen here of the subjects. Perfectly composed to just have these two subjects fill the frame and those wide open happy smiles make us smile too. Lighting is also very complementary to the image as that it illuminates their faces such that we can enjoy the smiles not just seen with their mouths but in their eyes as well.
