Took this while holding guitar against the case, reaching around the tripod to play it while the camera shot the exposure with the timer. Low-level, ambient incandescent lighting.

Used tone curves and channel mixer to make it a grayscale image and enhance the graininess, then made a duotone using Black and Pantone 166 (red). A couple of "light" passes with the Unsharp Mask filter.

Image rotated 180 degrees from the captured orientation to make it look like it's taken on stage from about where the guitar mic would be.

I love the point of view, and the motion blur works very well here!

I like the perspective and coloring on this, but it is a bit grainy, for my personal taste.

Hmm, seems a strange angle for a mic view, but okay. I like it's an action shot, though with a "D-minor" title I think I'd rather have seen the chording than the strumming. The lighting or angle or toning or likely all three washes out the strings, which is a pity as they're the center of focus. I don't actually care for the toning, actually. The idea is good.

The focus is off, I think.

I like the unusual PoV you've done here, but i think that sharper focus would be better.

10 for concept, 6 for execution: 7 overall. :-> A little more clarity and less muddiness might well have pumped it a bit higher, but still, very good. I hear the photo (which is my major grading criteria for this contest), and it's an appealing image.
