The sun is more of the subject, I can't really see a road, just grass.

Nice. If the quality of the image was better, it would be very nice.

Well done, but more a sunset shot than a "road" shot.

nice sunset, although subject matter is a bit static (ie not particularly interesting).

Nice sunset (I'm a sucker for sunsets, I admit it). Nice placement of sun in the side of the photo. But you have to get your horizon straight. It's sloping to the left. And even though it probably was impossible to avoid, the powerlines aren't great, either.

I think this is an excellent shot. Almost postcard perfect. Cloud contrast is a plus. My own opinion (and is just that MY opinion) is that it is a bit too pink/orange... like I said just my personal preference.

Great color and light range, but the shot is a bit grainy and the power lines are a distraction.

Hard to see the road but the sunset is great!

Beautiful skies, nice sunset. The power lines across the top keep if from being perfect IMO.

This is a pretty photo. A beautiful sunset, love the color! Don't you hate how power lines are everywhere? ;) It's so hard to take sunrises and sunsets without them! I still gave you a high score, though. :)

OK, a little dark though.

I realy like the color of this sunset.

nice sunset but if you hadn't given it that title I might not have noticed that there was a road in the shot, it could be a field or anything.

wonderful color!

Wonderful colors and nice composition. I do wish all wiring were underground.

RRREAlly Nice color! Strong effect! Too bad about the telephone lines. You are getting alot of "noise" in the clouds and the sun's flare, did you crank up the red values? If so, there is always an impact/trade off in digital dark room editing, this would be the evidence of it. Try experimenting with your exposure levels, if you didn't already. You might be able to get this effect without the extra edit. (mind you, I am just guessing at what I am seeing, you could have a lower end camera that would produce some of the same graininess.) Photo 6 Creativity 8 Road 8 total 8 (I would have given you 1 less for grainy, but I really like this shot.)

Dang nice work. Little over exposed ?? UV filter might of helped but his is pretty.
06/10/2002 11:18:00 AM
nice sunset.

Another nice sunset, but the 'road' is not really visible. if this wasn't an 'on the road' challenge, i would probalby not have noticed the road here without the title of this photo...
06/10/2002 08:51:00 AM
Oh those nasty powerlines!! Double whammy--if you cropped them out you miss the neat clouds.
06/10/2002 08:09:00 AM
telephone/ power lines always ruin these shots - it can be hard to isolate them though...

Powerlines! Not very sharp either.
