This definately says home sweet home and meets the challenge.
Your composition is good, the focus appears to be on the table and the man in the backround cooking seems to be there for effect only.
There seems to be a bit to much red in the backround leaving his face appear very red. You may need to do a little color balance and soften those tones some.
Truthfully I like the image and think that color balance would greatly improve it. The dof used in creating it works for me when I think about the entire image.

Very artsy - I like it. To tell you the truth, the wine bottle is a bit distracting, although I'm sure there is a reason for it. Good job overall. Still wouldn't mind a little bit more clarity of the picture. |

If it weren't blurry, this could easily be an 8 or 9 for me ... as it is, 6. |

Very nice image. Good lighting and layout of the image. The image also has a variety of colors and patterns and this makes for a very attractive image. Good job. |

it is oversaturated, and you should be using higher F-number, smaller apperture to get better DOF, because somoe interesting parts of the shot are blurry-out of focus. = 5 |

Very interesting compostion. I think your flowers make an incredible and beautiful foreground. I do like the bowls and I would have lost the green bottle of whatever. I wish I could see the stove a little clearer and a little more of expression from your husband/dad. I'm guessing husband since most people don't find their dad an interesting enough specimen to photograph. :) The window glare is a bit distracting. I think the table, flowers and bowls would have made a glorious shot all on their own. Nice job on capturing the challenge. |
