If the soft focus is intentional, it works against the title. The stubble, unkempt hair, and frown work great; but the eyes and soft focus are too kind for "grumpy."

Awww, poor guy...Was this taken on a Monday? :-) I'm grumpy on Mondays too. Overall, I think you did a nice job. A bit more...crispness or better lighting and this would give it some extra..."punch" for me.

The title says it all. Good use of lighting. Might just be too centered. Filling the frame using more of angle would resolved this issue. (7)

The low angle on this shot has put the collar and chin in focus but the eyes are soft which is a pity.

Wonderful expression. Lighting isn't to bad..I just don't care for the background...get farther away from your backdrop when shooting portraits.
