This one certainly meets the challenge. Lots of contrast; in fact it almost has that Selenium look to it, which is very difficult to achieve with digital processing. I like the workflow very much.
Compositionally i might have cropped this a little tighter. not because the foreground is too overpowering as one of the commenters suggested, rather because the introduction of the land masses at the top seem to interrupt the lovely lines that flow so nicely through the rest of the image. the high contrast leads me gently from the bottom to the top of the image, but it doesn't let me keep going.
A slightly smaller aperture might give you an additional bit of sharpness in the background, though i'm not convinced that would improve anything.
All in all a very nice image, and deserving of an above average score.

Can't say that this photo works well in high contrast ... this is a photo that needs details and I don't see them so sorry but don't like it in this challenge. Maybe it would have worked better in color? |

How do I know thats your home - you might be fibbing.
Some good contrasts at the expense of detail? |

Wow - that bright foreground jumped right out at me...and I had trouble looking at the rest of the photo, which for me is more interesting. I wonder how this would look if that area was cropped down a bit more? |
