Very nice image, has a nice relaxing feeling to it, the lazy days of summer. I'm not sure what your main focus was on but most everything seems to be in realatively good focus. I can even make out the buttercups at the bottom of the photo.
You may have wanted to try to add more blue to the sky for feeling cause as it is now, its cloudy but there are traces of depth in the clouds just seems to need a tinge more blue to it.
It is a very nice image all you need are some animals or a child in close view to add more interest to the composition. It does meet the challenge cause it makes you think of living in the country, nice interuptation on the challenge.

Good job using the trees for framing the picture. Not much going on in the background but it does give off a nice calm mood. |

I really like the layout of the image and how you used the trees as a border for the image. I also like the contrast in the sky and the value in the fields. Good job. |

It's interesting how this picture frames itself. I wish the sky was behaving a little more for you. I think that could jump this picture up a point or two. |

5. Fits the theme well enough, and there are no blatant 'you suck!' flaws to it, but neither does it really grab me for any reason at all. For reasons of composition, cropping, or subject choice, it's just a photo, and doesn't do especially much for me, aesthetically.
Shot slightly differently, the same place and lighting might have given the flowers in front a starring role, or the trees on the horizon, or even the (fence? forest?) right at the horizon, or one of the trees to left or right. As it is, a flat expanse of grass is what the eye is most drawn to, and then there's nowhere else for it to go. |
