Good shot - the fork is a bit dark and reflecting only a tiny bit of purple. I wish if you could, you'd have eliminated the yellows UNDER the fork - right hand lower tong and under the handle. 9

Stark yet warm. Makes me think of Audrey II, "FEED ME, SEYMOUR!"
"Little Shop of Horrors" a favorite flick of mine.

Fork "serves" as a good focal point for the colors.

novel idea to bring together the yellow and purple, the colours are very vibrant.

That is, indeed, a fork. I presume it's there to keep the purple vs yellow complement from being entirely boring, and surprisingly you've managed to keep from detracting from topic by use of shades of lighting. The intensity of the colours is so strong and the neutrality of the fork shading as well that it works even though the fork is really the focal point. Very effective.

Good colors, but do you think it might have added to the photo to put some front lighting on the fork for emphasis?

Really like this shot - definately meets the challange. I think the composition is excellent and really like the background and border choices. Can't think of a thing to improve it - excellent job!

Great colors. I think either more or less of the fork should be cropped. It makes me feel like it is missing something. Otherwise, awesome shot!

The subject matter is simply a fork, but looks interesting backlit by the vivid yellow. I like how the purple is reflected in the fork. Good job. 9

An original set-up, it's always good seeing something new in DPC. Good job - 9.

interesting concept.... i think a couple minor modifications could possibly produce a higher impact shot as well... maybe keeping the tips of the fork in the frame? Dunno... just a thought... the silhouette against the contrast works nicely here... = 7

nice abstract. Wish I could see more colour/ light in the fork - or much less so it was just a silhouette

Simple and appealing. I like the curve of the fork and the lines of the prongs. The vibrancy of the yellow/purple really makes the image stand out. The angle on the purple really adds an almost 3d dimension to it.

Pretty much nothing in the frame is actually in focus, which I find off-putting.

Simple, but effective. Well executed lighting and composition. 8 -danny
