Great choice of subject. Background looks blown out. Would also like to have seen more detail in the dark cows. Maybe you should have focused on only 2-3 of them istead. |

maybe I love cows. Frame works in this instance. The fog enhances the image. 9 |

I don't know why but this image looks like it was taken somewhere in Europe. Maybe it's the landscape or the cows. I like the haze in the background. Makes the cows stand out even more. |

One of my faves! Nice subject matter, nice fog, nice colors, nice hills fading in the background. I like how the center fella is the only one with a white face, it adds to the photo. |

great background of rain. nice that you can also see the rain fallling against some of the black cows. not sure about the border tho, but things like borders and titles, and stuff don't influence my vote anyways.
so, nicely done, and good luck :-) |

Good job with the fog/rain and subjects. The framing helps too. |

Love the feel here - a strong sense of that head-down just-get-through-it unremitting drizzle. You might have had a slightly stronger composition - this seems to fall a little between a set of parallels and a more leading group of those cows; I also wonder if a little pulling down of the exposure wouldn't have deepened and enriched the green tones, and perhaps lost the sense of the sky drifting into over-exposure, although obviously the details of the cows themselves needed to be maintained. It's a fine shot, even with those reservations, and even with the slight feeling of missing the very finest detail. |

Really lovely composition. Looks simple but it's actually quite sophisticated and thoughtful. Love the way the cows form a repeating echelon of miserable resignation as they suffer the rain. The bit of visible track efficiently leads the viewer's attention to the most advantageous start point for studying the herd. Also love the 'rained-out' background, which both frames the cows and reinforces the feeling of sodden misery. 9 |

I like how the cows all have their heads at the same level and pointing into the same direction. How come? Is that how cows "weather the storm"? |
