I really think this is an amazing idea. I noticed the same things most of the others noticed, needs softer light, baby's breath, etc...
The only things I would contribute is that the angles are a bit weird on the rose (probably because the angle on the mirror was changed from shot to shot). That isn't that big of a deal though.
Also, while I like the sadness indicated by the fallen petals of the yellow flower, I was a little disappointed by the perky happiness in the flower itself. It is pointed up and not quite directly at the rose bloom itself. If the flower were drooping slightly below a line of sight to the rose, perhaps with a petal about to fall off or having just fallen off, I would say the mood would be much more complete.
Hope it's helpful. |

I see a huge amount of potential in this shot and in your photographic talent here. This took a lot of work to put together I can tell. You just need to tweek the lighting. Experiment try one or two lights on either side and move them around. Make sure the lighting and tonality of the 'reflection' match the rest of the shot. Play with it. It'll be worth it!

This is a neat idea, but I jut think the vase in the mirror should have been in color. |

Ooo! I like it. However, the vase and the fallen petals are distracting to me, as is the rumpled, off-white cloth. |

Nice story telling on this image. The lack of reflection of the baby's breath is a quick giveaway and takes away some of the power of this image. I really like the drooping leaf on the mum(?) I rally denotes the sadness. 7 |

Very well done.
Maybe it's a mental block, but I have studied this and honestly don't know how it was done. (8) |

It is obvious how this is done, but a good effort nevertheless. Two things I would suggest - don't used a desaturated photo of the rose, and be careful of the shadows falling on the "mirror". |

Very creative, the baby's breath and fallen petals are a distraction, the rose is dramatic all on it's own. |

I'm intrigued by how you did this one. I assume it is a picture of a rose, since the mirror image of the baby's breath looks more like a shadow than a reflection, but I may be wrong. nice job! |

fantastic idea. i wish the lighting was a little less harsh. would have been even cooler if you had included the little shrub thing when you took the first photo so it would have had a reflection for the second. i guess you would have still had to tone down the shadow, but i assume that wouldn't have been a problem as you managed to clone out the shadow of the yellow flower pretty well. there does appear to be just a wee bit of strange coloring just above it that looks like it might have been left by some errant cloning. still a very, very good entry. |

great reflection illusion. It shows that the set up does not have to be elaborate to create a well thought out well composed and well taken illusion. |

Great idea. Very clean studio shot. I would like it more if the flower in the lower right were gone, and more focus on the sunflower / rose. |

I really like this image... the angles must have been a nightmare to work out! It's a little obvious what you've done here, maybe a little more work with the angles would have made the illusion more believeable. |
