How does the saying go?

"One man's junk is another man's treasure"?

There is a certain warmth in "old" things, a history and longevity you don't find in "modern" junk.

A "light" painting...the only somewhat steady light source was a candle behind the old milk bottle.

A note...very little post processing was done to this image, I cloned a mark on the wall out, some MINIMAL dodging and burning, a little desaturation, and a slight color adjustment...that was it...really no more than could be done in a real darkroom. My desire is to be a good photographer...not just a good photoshopper.

Nice arrangement and still life. The colors and low light are very effective in this shot. I creates a very soft mood. Bump up 7

this feels extremely well thought out. from the wiring of the vase sculpture and the eye glasses to the picture frame corner and the desk corner. it might just be me, but the main point of light on the vase feels a bit overdone. the table corner leads out, but i like how the shadow on the wall pushes the eye back towards the center of the frame. over analyzed...mmmm could be :) nice shot, nonetheless.

Awesome shot, but it just doesn't scream long exposure.

I like the light and the composition. Looks like a cover to Country Living magazine. The amber tones are appealing and the monochromatic theme is well shot.

The photo appears to be tilted (the picture on the wall) unless it was shot with a fisheye lense. I also have a feeling that this photo will get slammed because the "long exposure" is very subtle. All in all its a semi pleasing photo and the earth tones do a very nice job. I would like to see a B&W conversion and compare the two. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <7>
