That poor dog was roaming in a town near our house. I hope he was belonging to someone and who will be able to have those quills being removed by a vet...

Oh that poor dog! Guess it knows what a porcupine is now! Technically, I find the colors a little flat. Composition is ok. Wish you could see a bit more of it's back legs or less. I hope the dog is ok!

Dog + Porcupine = One Unhappy Dog.

I don't have time to vote on this, sorry, but what a great picture! I wish I could have seen the porcupine! Was he naked?

Alternate title? Know when to give up!

Heh. Dogs are so dumb. Porcupines are neither a threat nor a source of food for a domesticated animal.

OMG!!! I'm not certain how to vote for this one. I feel sorry for the dog, but he/she got what it deserved. Unfortunately, most of the dog is in shadows. It's a keeper if you do some photoshop correction to it. (Of course that can't be done in the challenge.)

This picture got me staring at it for a very long time (that's good!). The subject is very original (never seen this before). Nice composition, very sharp, details look awsome. I love the leaves in the upper right corner, it adds a lot to what happened before the shot was taken and the bug above his eye just adds one more cool element to look at. A very busy picture but well done. Poor boy tough. The spikes don't look that deep to be painful but the ones on his nose must have hurt a bit.
