The post processing hurts your image. There should have been more initial lighting to avoid the blown out areas around the table lamp. The image is very grainy.

I think this image is overwhelmed by its border. The imae doesn't have ny pure black or white tones except those on the border and the border just points that out. I think the POV and the DOV are excellent otherwise. A very interesting image.

the frame/border is way too much for an image this size

I think this is a great picture, but the border is a little much.

This is great - has an old feel with modern clues. Could it be the early sixties? Nope, look at the Lance Armstrong bracelets. Your fly-on-the-wall angle is perfect, I love the highlights that the lamps casts.

Brilliant concept and wonderfully executed, but that frame is awful.

I really like this shot! The perspective is perfect. The lighting is great and adds a sense of age to the shot. The people seem oblivious to your presence which makes it even better. Just a family sitting around doing their stuff perhaps after the evening meal. Even better that they are not watching TV or something. I am not a big fan of borders but I think this one works nicely. It lends a sense of age to the photo that is synergistic with the lighting. Well done!

Cool shot and interesting angle. IMHO, the borders are distracting (and I'm not a border hater). There is also a glare on the tables and the woman from the light. The DOF is okay, but the graininess may be a conscious choice on your part to emulate old family photos. Not sure the sepia tones work the way you wanted for this image because of the modern feel to the room. Still not a bad shot and you definitely get points for creativity. It meets the challenge well.

Over-exposed; note the lack of any detail near the lamp. Also the borders are quite distracting, imo.

Not sure about your vignette, but like the old feel of this image. Like something out of the 60's or 70's

Particularly dislike the border with that strange white faded internal edge and it really distracts from my ability to enjoy the photograph itself which I actually quite like - an interesting and unusual study of an every day scene.

soft focus works well here

the fading nner border really distracts from this composition in my opinion. the concept though is really suitable for representing a family atmosphere.

I actually like this quite a lot. I love the lighting. I like the triangular comp (light plus the two people). The focus isn't great but okay enough. Excellent choice of color. Fantastic perspective on the scene. What spoils the image for me is the gradient border. Some may like it, I suppose. But it doesn't resonate with me.

I like the idea of this shot and the use of the sepia tone. But it's just a tad busy for me with the socks and all the "stuff" here and there. Maybe if it had been shot from a different angle, the perspective might have been a bit simpler. The light over the table is a tad too harsh for my eye.
