Not a true macro. Cropped, so I think I lost some quality. First entry with my new toy (whoohoo!!) and still learning how to use it and take semi-decent pictures.
I had some nice flowers, no bugs, but I thought I'd try and steer away from the conventional. Original idea was a pile of coloured rubber bands, but I had started this rubber band ball a while ago, so I thought, how about that instead. Happened upon a rubber band that had been used for asparagus, and voila, the picture and title.
Technically, I know things can be improved, but I can't quite put my finger on them and also how to improve them. Is it the picture itself, or is it the post processing?
PP: Simple really. Levels, Hue/Color Saturation, Color Balance, Resize, Unsharp Mask, Save for web
Edit: True, not so good at the focus. Guess that means I'll have to get s good macro lens! |

upper corner is too bright - focus too soft |

colorful, a refreshingly different subject, I would have wished for sharper focus and more depth of field |

Looks like a bunch of those "I support" bracelets. I am glad they FINALY have a group that supports and promotes Asparagus.
Great colors too. |

I really like the colors and the originality of this photo. Could use just a wee bit more focus and perhaps more uniformed lighting. I imagine this ball can really bounce. |

Interesting subject. Lighting is a little too strong towards the top. Would like to have seen sharper focus and maybe greater saturation of color and contrast. |

Great colors on this photo! Detail looks a little bit soft/blurred for my taste. Great composition and I love that you chose something unusual as the subject for this challenge!! |

If this shot was sharper it would help tremendously. |

not quite on focus and colors are washed out - over exposed? I love the idea though |
