Great photo. I didn't have time to vote during the challenge, but I had this pegged as a top 3. I think you were underrated because of all the bird/pond type bird shots in the challenge. I just love this, and it's going into my favorites!

| I think I'd have cropped out the ducks. There just seems to be too much on the left hand side with nothing to balance it out on the right. |

Shame you didn't get the shot half a second later when the swan wouldn't have been quite so tight on the edge of the frame, but otherwise this is stunning.
I love the way the the ripples make the line of sunlight curve towards the swan, leading the eye straight to the subject. Great shot, well done. |

If not for the ducks, I'd rate this a 10, but that's just me. I think the swan has a powerful impression but is underscored a bit by the ducks.

| [Comment only] Very soothing, tranquil capture. Composition is excellent, though I might have extended the length a little bit more. I see the photo is at 630x480. I would have gone the full 640x480 without the use of a border or at least not one so heavy looking. The two ducks in the background add a nice second point of focus. |
