 Only the second time I've ever seen a goldfinch in my yard, and I managed about three quick handheld shots before he flew off. I was out shooting a pair of bluebirds, so I already had the 70-200 lens with a 1.4x TC and the right settings for the situation. I got lucky.

Processing Crop, levels, USM, Noise Ninja, desaturated the blue to eliminate purple fringing/sky, blurred and burned the leaves at the bottom of the frame to match the top better.

Congrat's on another 6+ top 20 shot Shannon! It's a beautiful capture--I tried some wild birds this week and not only were they difficult to find, they don't hold still. :)

Good sharp capture and colours of the goldfinch(?) but the OOF or movement or both of the leaves I find a little too much - good luck
