 I lightened up this picture quite a bit. Also, thanks to my dad for letting me capture his cluttered tools.

by the way, this is my first challenge so keep that in mind if you think the photograph is totally awful. THANKS

just so you all know,
I did wash this out on purpose.
The origional picture looked just to average,
when I overexposed the picture it made the colors brighter.
although this photo didn't do so well in the challenge,
at least I tried.

Original idea but the colors seems to be oversaturated, is this done by editing? Too bad.

I like the offset angle from which this is shot, and although I've seen similar types of 'busy' photos work, in this case I find my eye wandering listlessly, looking for a strong anchor to focus on and hold my attention, but not finding any thing. Also, overall, the lighting is good, but seems to me like there is a 'harsh' area on the right side. Perhaps if the bench top was not so full and cluttered, it might draw one into the photo more?

The variety of colors really makes this image nice. The lighting really captures everything in its own unique place. Great job with this! GOod luck in the challenge!

This is a good try. IOM it is too cluttered and not in focus. Maybe if you concentrated on one thing, close up, and used the rest as an out of focus background. Just a suggestion - keep trying.
