 Uganda's national bird - the crested crane. Photographed at the world of birds, Houtbay, South Africa. Definately a must to visit, the world of birds is the largest bird park in Africa and it takes hours to walk through the whole park which has such a variety of birds and some mammals.

That is one wild looking bird! I like the strong contrast of the black background with the yellow plume, and the angle of the birds neck entering the shot creates an interesting shot. Blue cast to the white portions of the image is a bit strong, in my opinion. --9

nice catch, excellent composition and lighting..dont tell me that you invited this beautiful lady inside your studio (nope, just kidding!)...One of the best entry this challenge...congrats...you deserve a ribbon here..Congrats!!! before i forgot...she got a very expressive eyes.....i think she likes you so much. congrats again...

With the plain black background, this just doesn't look natural to me. Is she a live bird or stuffed? Other than that observation, this is a nicely taken photo. Shows great detail and color.

She sure is pretty. So is this picture. Nice composition at colors. There is another picture of the same bird that i also rated high. Was interesting to note that they resulted in quite different images :) Shooting as a team? 10 Journey
