You have made this image give forth the beauty of the gull. This outstanding capture excells in rich texture and very well balance colors and expertly shot, capturing its razor sharp edges.

Wow! What strikes me first about this is the clarity of detail and light in the eye, the vivid colour of the beak and the contrast between white and black. Composition is OK but feels a little chopped off. It doesn't convey the grace that even a bird like a gull possesses. Also, I do think it's a shame that much of the feather detail is blown out since the areas where it's captured are so much more interested visually.

Great detail, for the most part; I find the composition (and subject, really) a bit obvious, and I find the large amount of over-exposed space a shame -there is great detail in that eye, but I believe the whole thing could have been more effective if you had exposed for the white areas, and then brought the darker areas back, rather than letting the highlights go out like this.

Not a bad capture, DOF and bokeh in this shot and great and also the sharpness but the severe blown headlights kind of ruin it for me.
