Wow! One of my favorites. I like the angle you took this at - it makes all the difference - and I can appreciate the difficulty of getting this photo in the bright lighting and in capturing turtles in general.

This is one that I wish I had taken. :^)

This is outstanding. I love it. I try so hard to sneak up on turtles here, but they are way to shy. Can't really use a zoom because of the brush and they can see you from a mile away.

I like this image alot even though I cannot help thinking the turtles are slightly out of focus, but good anyway

nice border, great composition, fantastic photo! this is beautiful, it really is! the yellow flowers (lilys, i guess) are the perfect touch.

there are two things this photo needed to get a 10. first, a little more contrast...second, a little bit of sharpening.

great work! you should be very proud of this one!

Edit: bumping to a 9, this is really nice...not even sure about the need for more contrast, perhaps sharpening would do the trick. good luck!

Beauty is a subjective thing, I know. In my scoring and comments I'm trying to score based on NOT whether or not I would think a particular subject beautiful, but on whether the photographer has succeeded in creating a beautiful photo. I look for the elements of color, lines, focus and dof interest, lighting, and a certain element of grace and lovlieness. I'm looking for a unique and creative appeal for the highest scorers. The description says to create a photo that makes the viewer think "that's beautiful", so it will undoubtedly be very subjective. (This is what I'm putting at the start of all of my comments, and I hope it is helpful.)

That being said, This is a nice nature photo, but it doesn't make me think "beauty." The clarity and colors are good, but it doesn't have a real unique or creative quality to it.

The frame will cost you. Work on the composition.

great shot, not always easy to get the exposure so good in bright sunlight; border is appropriate

By far, the best turtle photo I've seen. Fantastic job capturing the reflections. Good clarity - I would probably turn up the color saturation a little more (but I tend to overdo that anyway) and there is a little glare, but what can I say? It's a GREAT shot! (9)
