Nice photo, it just seems there is a bit of "noise" in the image.

A lovely subject and set up. It looks like the camera focused on the trees in the background more than the cat in the window. The cat looks grainy and too softly focused in my opinion. Keep trying for future challenges though.

Although I do think your kitty is VERY cute, there are some disappointing factors about the photo. First, the curtain is a distraction. You might have used it to add "interest", but for this kind of photo, your kitty should be your only point of interest. Also, your point of focus is more on her pink name tag and not her pretty face. I'm not sure if you notice, but the nametag appears to be the clearest part of the photo. Depending on your type of camera, it seems to give a lot of pixilation, thus, alot of noise. Was she or you outside a window? Try this again, focusing your eye on her face more, and giving your camera time to focus. Trust me, I have a point and click camera, and I really have to concentrate to get good focus out it. I give you an A for effort, and a 5 for good measure! Hopes this helps you! :o)

This image suffers from a common autofocus problem. You can see that the background is in clearer focus than your main subject. Autofocus, when left on its own, will tend to focus on the thing that takes up the most real estate in the frame like the background does here. You want to press your shutter half way down and turn your camera on what you want to focus on first then, when it is in focus, move the camera to compose the image before pushing the shutter the rest of the way down to complete taking the picture.

Btw, nice cat!
