 In my search for an interesting night shot I went to ANZAC parade in Canberra (the capital city of Australia) as there are lots of war memorials with interesting lighting. There were a number of interesting shots but this one was a bit more abstract. Basically it is a horseshoe shaped wooden sculpture with spot lighting below it. I set up nearly under it and pointed up into the sky. I managed to capture some stars and the apparent disc. The shot reminds me a bit of the "Microsoft Halo" game image.
The only editing I have done is adjustment of the brightness and a resize.

I like this an an abstract. I like the shape of whatever that is, and I like the color a lot against the black. Neat simplicity.

The little light specs are distracting and would have been easy to remove. The ocject has nothing of interest (to me), no color variance, not much texture and no depth.
