Emotive capture! I'm guessing DPC won't really like it: little bit blurry, grainy. I really like it though. The emotion is very strong, the eye speaks deeply, the title fits into it all. Great job!

I love the grain finish and lighting. Great entry.

I personally don't like the effect that you have done to this. I would like to see the original.

I really like the way you have processed this, i'm worried some purists may get upset! but its a brilliant photo, & fits the spirit of the challenge excellently

well it is too contrasty for my likes, but is an allright effect, just too much of it.

I like this shot..the extreme close-up, the focus is soft and fits this portrait; there is a graininess to it that works well, the hat was an excellent touch.

You are Clint Eastwood in his old westerns. I kinda like the grainyness but those two white spots (noise?) beside his nose have got to go!

Interesting effect but he's lost the end of his nose. Well captured expression though.

This is quite a nice "old-time" photograph, and the expression is wonderful. I applaud your courage in submitting a photograph of this type into the DPC "NeatImage wins Ribbons!" world. The subtle intensity in this photo plays well with your title, but it would work just as well with an "untitled", as the mood shines through, and one can't help but imagine what this man is thinking. Great job.. one of the better photos I've seen. Good luck staying out of the 4s.

Image is grainy. It's a great close-up otherwise, but it's noise & lack of clarity are distractions. (5)

Too much PP on this Clint Eastwood style shot. Could have been a promising shot if taken well without PP.

I think the rough, slightly mottled texture of this photo suits it very well. Nice tigh framing. Good idea with the hat too. I get the feeling he's sitting on a horse ready for a shootout. [10]

I like the gritty, raw look of this photo. It ain't pretty but it's effective.

please don't take this the wrong way, but is this a joke?

Great pose. Good score but not sure grainy effect was best chose, looks a little over processed but again I like the look

This is very dramatic. I think your title compliments the picture really well, and so do the cepia tones! I'm not crazy about that grainy finish, but the composition is so strong and the look on his face conveys your emotion so well. 8

Interesting choice of editing. This image is very cold, and very still. Maybe very "solid" would be a better choice of words. The almost monochromatic tone to his image give it that stone like feel. Almost like a head stone. <6>

I like the shot, but the quality of the picture leaves something to be desired.

Yes. Good entry for this challenge. I'm not sure why the ?invert or what ever with the white, but it's spot on for this challenge. Good job. 8
