 This is the main library on the UCSD campus, taken on a Friday night. It's a frequent subject for photographers, though I haven't seen many night shots of it. I took about a dozen pictures with different exposures, and this seemed to be the best, though I still had to make a lot of adjustments using the GIMP to get it to look semi-decent. Processing involved rotating, cropping, adjusting saturation, contrast, and curves, resizing for upload, sharpening, and adding a border.

Excellent image. Great, fully lit architecture engulfed in darkness. You can see everything thing in side, even at this small size. Super. Would be great to see a larger size. My favorite.

You're right, it is vaguely remniscent of a UFO. :) The title makes the shot here, as it would be somewhat ordinary without that. Scene seems slightly soft, but that might be from the resizing. The UFO effect would have been better if it were extremely crisp, however.

I love the detail that one can see through the windows. Everything is well lit, but I can't help feeling that I'd like a touch more contrast to make it 'pop' a little more.

LOL. I Bill Peirerra's photographer on this project at UCSD, and also shot it for the UNivesity several times. Very nice shot. I only wish figure were on the pediment and s6tringly silhoetted. Lovely color work.

Very nice. You did a great job with the exposure, it looks like it would be very easy to overexpose this one and lose the details of the colors in the windows. 9
