Branch obscuring part of owl is a little distracting. When photographing birds sometimes you have to take what you can get. Perhaps a bit oversharpened. |

Nice Owl, but I think they look this way all of the time. How do I know it isn't Hungrey instead of bored? Something about the focus bothers me as well, it seems to make the survice of the image a bit active. |

wonderful Great Horned owl, do wild animals get bored? To busy raising young, surviving, eating, or displaying to attract a mate. So this probably doesn't meet the challenge to me. |

Too much sharpness, makes it look flat and unreal. Nice shot otherwise. |

Why would this shot convey boredom? Don't get me wrong - technically this shot is superb, and if entered in a wildlife challenge, it would do well. I think the look of this owl is the opposite of boredom - it looks tense and focused. |

Nice owl shot. Lucky you to have seen what appears to be a great horned owl in person! The detail in the feathers is just lovely. Did you stretch the challenge topic a bit? I think so. But I can't blame you for wanting to show this off. It would, of course, be more perfect without the upright branch, if you could have just gotten a little different perspective on it... |

I like the owl but I wish you would have moved slightly so that the branch was not occluding him. |

lol Its definitely not amused!
Great shot, though I'm not sure it depicts boredom... awareness, maybe...
I believe you oversharpened the image, because I can see tiny dots on the sky area. But, overall, you have a very nice shot. I'll give it an 8. |
