I haven't entered for far too long, and with the purchase of the 20D I bullied myself into it! I'd started off playing about with various lighting effects, and started wondering how I could convey something about myself rather than just a flash picture that said nothing. I spend pretty much all my time in front of a keyboard, and although I haven't (yet!) fallen asleep on one it seemed appropriate!

Taken with a Sigma 18-125 at the short end; on-camera flash plus a second flash at 45 degrees off to the right of the picture. Converted to black&white through the channel mixer, cropped and levels tweaked before a light unsharp mask and a final tiny boost of brightness and contrast.

I'm a sucker for black and white, even though I KNOW it's going to hurt my score. Of course, it also had the handy effect of hiding my rosy cheeks :)

Now it would be official if you had the slobber running down the keyboard, yes that would not have been appealing but that's how I usually find myself. haha Nice Shot.

Returning for comment: Hmm, looks like me late at night trying to work or trying to catch up on my photoediting. I like the idea. I am not sure about the crop on the left at that particular spot--I think I would have cropped a bit more or less. Lighting and technical aspects is good. But drool is no good for a keyboad ;)

Exceptional detail and good lighting speaking of the fatigue factor. A very interesting response to this challenge because it meets the principle and gives the extra extension of a feeling we are all subject to succumb to. Bumping up.
