| A great study arising out of the darkness. The profile works well with closed eyes and the lighting has achieved the desired effect bacuse it brings out the form to perfection. Bumping up. |

i don't know anything about portraiture, so i'm using your image as a guinnea pig as to what i think i would or wouldn't do in this situation, as well as what i notice and get out of your image.
my immediate reaction is that your face is too centered, that you are not making enough of the available negative space to either side of your profile. next, i think lighting is just a tad too strong. all the same, this is a great composition, nicely captured. |
