i appreciate your effort here, but think you may have missed the mark. your background, while blurry and oof, is not really enhancing your subject, and the lighting at this time of day is a bit too strong. from a different angle with different lighting, you could produce a more pleasing image, but here, it is not really working for me.

In this image the BG is in focus to well to be anywhere near bokeh. With such a large subject it could prove difficult to create the bokeh effect without a very long lens, shooting from a distance, I would think.

this doesnt connect with my interpretation of the challenge as much as I would like to see. Its a cool shot but if the backround had more contrast of focus and color with your foreground subject it would probably have made your yucca a more predominate feature of your image.

The short definition of Bokeh from KenRockwell.com, which I am using for voting on this challenge: "Bokeh describes the rendition of out-of-focus points of light." By this definnition, this image doesn't fit the challenge. Is the subject enhanced by the bokeh of the background? It is enhanced by the background, but as I see it this is just a short DOF shot.
