hahaha
Didn't notice this one when voting. But it is great and strange to see also the other one of Einar!
Must add as a favirite since I have been on that spot with Sigurdur and on Mt Hvannadalshnukur with Einar. |

See also from same spot on a different day, with a different guide - I was with father (Siggi), but Jóhann with son (Einar), but the same bird doing the same thing. Nasty thing, but photogenic :)

They'd find better eating if they could track down some Green Bay Packers fans (a.k.a. "Cheeseheads"). Funny action shot. |

I think this is a great photo and am very happy to vote it a 10. I do think that it could look just a bit better with a bit of USM. It looks like it has the normal bit of softening from resizing. Every think else about the photo is so good that this become a very minor point. |

Absolutely brilliant! Top marks for a perfectly timed capture. The second bird coming in for the 'kill' really nails this one.
Picking nits - the vertical posts in the background could have been cloned out to avoid distraction. |

One of the ultimate you had to be there shots. :) Not only is this a funny image, it's compositionally strong as well. You have an interesting sense of scale with the edge of the cliff and the wide expanse of ocean behind the subject. The image seems a bit sofrt, like the autofocus wasn't able to totally lock in. A bit of sharpening around just the second bird might help it pop out a bit more. 8 |

Second "killer Skua" image...damn birds. Much prefer this one, both from a humourous perspective and composition. Good Luck. |

Wow, what a capture. Kinda humorous too. I like his expession, but doesn't seem like a probable reaction to bird attacking you (and that's why I like it). You've got this moment of action in sharp focus. Exceptionally done. |

Great capture! The "stealing" of the cap "makes" the picture so much more interesting! Although, the scenery is already nice. Good focus on the man. I voted this a "10" |

Aren't "Johnny Rooks" (Falkland Islands) also Skua's? Funny to watch, less funny if you are part of that movie. There is this great documentary on Discovery or NGC where they wreck a whole campsite. :)
Nice catch. |
