Well, I guess it was either a love it or hate it thing (border anyway). Still a nice placing in the top 30.

I dont know that this depicts wind. It seems rather still to me.

Gorgeous detail and lovely colors. The backgound is a bit distracting, perhaps shot from a lower angle would have gotten rid of the stuff along the bottom..

Can't decide whether or not I Iike the frame. Its an intereting application. I do like the backlighting and muted blue background. An excellent capture.

I like the actual photograph contained here. Great use of lines and composition and backlighting. Your centered subject works well with the lines leading to the lower right corner. However, My eye is drawn more to the framing and immediately says 'Not centered.' Call me old school, but if this were cropped more conventionally (with or without traditional frame) this would score slightly higher with this voter!

Beautiful image but I really dislike the border treatment and it's one that has a strong impact, unfortunately.

The picture tilt works because it is in-sync with the wind. :)

Interesting and somewhat daring border here for a group that generally doesn't seem to care much for borders (including myself) but I like this one for some reason. I like the relation of the title to the drama of the subject too. 8

border = :(
dunno why you rotated it like that.

Bold entry, I congratulate you on your innovative style. I fear DPC will vote you down somewhat. A shame, I say. Excellent backlighting, detail, sharpness, and clarity. Frame and composition is much to my liking. Stands easily on its artistic and technical merits. Ever so slight haloing around the stem which does not significantly detract from the beauty of this stunning photo.

it is actually very nice, you saved an otherwise uninteresting shot with some creativity :)

interesting border/rotation. i'm sure you'll get a lot of comments on how it may detract. i don't think it necessarily detracts or adds, but just looks a bit different. anyway, not sure if that's short DOF or motion blur - but you still have nice rendition throughout. good work (i'm sure converting this to a normal border might have upped your score, although i don't necessarily mind it)

Beautiful capture. Though I get the sense that maybe the titled framing is intended to give more feeling of wind than maybe there really was...? The tone and tecture of the background is excellent, and of course the backlighting is effective. I'd be interested to see what got cropped on this shot.

Hmm, not too crazy about the framing you've choosen but I like the subject and focus...

I like the content, but the tilting sort of ruins it for me.
