Voting is still young, but I've got 2 lovely comments already and a score above 7!
I know it won't hold but I'm really pleased considering how this picture was produced:

I was procrastinating almost the complete submission period although I love doing lightpainting. Before I went to bed on Thursday evening (was already in my pyjamas) I took a last look at the dpc site and found out, that there were only a few hours left for this challenge rollover.
Since I play the saxophone and it was already set up for practising the next day it was just a short delay of my night rest to take this picture using a red and a blue finger light
I wish too I had the someone playing the instrument but I'm livng alone and the only possibility would have been a selfie - but I was too tired for that.

thankyou so much for the back story .. i love reading those .. makes this site more personal ...
anyway .. this is fantastic .. a wonderful example of painting with light ..
and so creative .. its like youve combined two of your loves .. photography and music .. in one glorious image ..
the hearts are inspired ..

Very well done especially as a last minute entry! Yes it would have been interesting to have the musician in the scene but obviously difficult to have others around to use in this day and age. You did great with what you had. Congrats on the blue!

I like it how you used the technique to add meaning to the image, rather than just trace a shape or something like that. It also results in a very attractive image. The hart is not too stylized, it is a nice warm red colour, the reflection and colour of the saxophone are beautiful. The touch of blue adds some extra interest. If someone would have been playing it, it would even have been better (currently there is no sound for the lovesong). My choice for the blue.
