The great thing about this type of shot is that it spurs comments that give away members' political leanings. So when you're having an exchange with somone in the forum, you can refer back to this and get some insight as to where they are coming from.
Looks like lots of centrists, but mostly liberals in this voting block. ;-) |

Saw this tonite. Wish I had been able to vote on it, but sat Lucky 7 out on all voting.
Background a bit distracting, how about a selective desat of the background and leave the buttons color? |

Ah a political statement. Bold move as you know you're gonna get voted down for this one. Not only is this guy liked only by half of America, but he's generally disliked across the world.
I'll take an objective stance on this one, although I voted for Kerry.
You exposed this shot "W"onderfully. The composition is excellent overall and I think it "W"orks very "W"ell. The crop is perfect and the color saturation and hue is spot on. The backdrop adds a pleasing foundation for the placement of the buttons. Artistically, I cannot find any fault. The focus, DOF, and sharpness are "W"onderful as "W"ell. Printed material is especially difficult to capture "W"ell, and I think technically you did a s"W"ell job. 10 |

I supose that people will either hate this or love it. But setting all personal preferences on politics aside, I don't much care for the actual photo. there are 7 of the subject, I'll give you that, but the background just makes this look cluttered. The lighting is creating some bad shaddows around the buttons. focus seems good, and I like that the 7 buttons make a physical 7, but it's just not drawing me in. ~Heather~ |

I really like the idea of the campaign buttons, although I voted for the other guy. I find that the background detracts from the buttons themselves, which are far more interesting than the sign. You might try a simpler background...Nice shot! |

this is a cool idea, but i think it's a little busy. maybe a plain background would have suited this image better, since the pins still keep the message. It took me a minute to notice the shape of the '7'. i give ya a 6 though for the thought and effort and its technically pretty good. |

seems a little busy, would have liked it better if the background was not text. |
