Gave this a harsher treatment than last time. Perhaps too much, but what the heck, it's only Archival anyway. Didn't have to work for it. :-)

The scene is of the Great Meadows area of Shenandoah National Park. Every so often (can't remember how frequently at the moment) they do a controlled burn of the meadows. It's a very large area. This follows the traditions of people that first inhabited this region many years ago and allows some native species of plants to thrive, etc. The charred field look is a bit weird but interesting at the same time.
