Fab title. The geometry works well in this square shot. Lighting could be improoved.

Nice composition, shot at a good angle, and I like your choice of colours. Lighting is harsh and has created shadows that are way too dark. Adding another light source coming from the opposite direction as your other light would have made this better, I think. |

Hmmm, most will recognize these are not Legoâ„¢ - Shoulda gone with Lincoln Logs! ;-) Good color, composition & cropping. Lighting is a bit over-exposed for me. Hope this was helpful. |

Aww, reminds me of my youth. I think you overexposed by about 1.5 stops. I know that would darkened the blue piece too much, but the yellow piece is suffering from blown highlights. The 1:1 (or close to it) aspect ratio isn't really doing much for me, but I'm biased toward vertical portrait orientation in 4:3 ratio. The lighting is superb. The shadows are cast beautifully and seem very appropriate for the subject. I really do like this though and I seem to be nitpicking. 8. |

Hmm...building blocks, compared to what? Toys? brick and mortar? Granite? Steel? I don't really see low technology here, but I do see a great abstract composition. I like the choice of primary colors and the arrangement of the blocks. The framing and crop are perfect, but the shadows are too deep and detract from the color impact. DOF and focus seem just right and the square crop shape is a good subtle contrast to the rectangular forms. (Very) hgh marks on composition, low marks on challenge interpretation. |

I love Lego. Really like the angle of the light and shadow on this one. |

Nice twist on the old catch phrase. Legos are certainly favorite old school toys of yesteryear. Nicely done. |

I'm terrible with lighting, but seems too harsh to me. Maybe a bounce would help? Not so much to soften the shadows but to show more of the darker sides. |

you should have flipped on eover to get the other side in the shot. It would have helped an otherwise great composition be even better. It would ceat an expectation in the viewers eye of motion and helped to "tie" the picture together..gave you a 9! |

This is a great photo! The colors don't seem to "pop" out at me, it could be my monitor. 8 |

The lighting is too harsh for my taste. The yellow is totally blown out in the corner. |
