I thought there would be a lot of police etc, so tried a (hopefully) less obvious subject.

Good picture, bad choice of subject.

The image is taken very well I like the composition and you did score well We all get the low scores I didnt vote on this subject but I think I would given you a 7
Just enjoy your work Its a good image but some people do not see things as you do
I get mad when people score me low but Look at other peoples scores and you will see that most people get the lows and highs also

I respect how well this picture is composed and lighted. Well done! I just find the brightness of the object, at the top, to be a bit distracting because of the brightness... it's pulling the eyes away fom the strongest part of the image. I would likely crop the picture a little bit more from the top and see how that feels.

To me Jesus and THE word of God are my authority. The really cool and paradoxical thing is that as one submits to this authority one is totally set free.

One of the better Bible shots ... you picked a good passage. I notice this edition just says "shall not kill" without distinguishing between the various types of homocide ... some people have been recently suggesting otherwise.

I really love the lighting in the bottom left corner, though I find the over exposure in the top right a little off-putting.

I've only voited on a about ten pictures so far but Im pretty sure I'll see that exact title about 8 more times before I'm done. 6. (would ahve been a 7 or eight if youd cropped around the bottom).

I like the symbolism, and yet it's technically lacking. It seems a little soft and I'd love to see some detail in the cross. Good choice of verse.

Of all the Bible photos in this challenge - this is the best.

there were a lot of bible shots, but this one was my favorite. I like the lighting a lot.

Great composition. Nice shadows.

interesting composition, but unable to tell what the object at the top is. is that the light source? is it a votif? when i cover the top of the image with my hand, the image seems a bit stronger. i don't mind the grain, and do understand the limits of what you can do under basic editing, but wish you could have sharpened the text and taken out the hot spots on the crucifix. good luck!

This is very dramatic and powerful. Nice Picture

Indeed. Nice lighting on the bible and crucifix. The harsh lighting on the candle(?) is distracting for me. I would crop it out and let the power of your main images take centerstage. Really beautiful lighting on the apex of the curve on each page. Stunning image without the distraction from the top.

Very nice, I was looking for a really good spiritual reference on here. Nice job with the lighting!
