 my theme .. taking photos and doing stuff to them .. more or less .. and maybe experimenting a bit ..

for the March side challenge

this side challenge has turned a bit into my life .. and if anyone is interested this is what was going on yesterday ..
got in the car to go to take my broken omd em1 to Olympus .. an hour and a half drive ..
looked over and saw my little girl katee .. grabbed my phone to take a photo..
its surprising i dont have an accident when driving along .. as when i look over .. quickly .. she always looks so cute .. and i want to keep looking .. or take a photo .. !! .. ;)
this was before i started driving ..
so funny her middle face ..
she yawned .. as you can see ..
then her top gum got caught on her teeth .. i laugh out loud when that happens .. cracks me up ..
the last one is her being 'normal' ..

didnt do much to the image .. brought the three pics into one .. masked off the bits i didnt want .. merged .. then did a strong gaussian blur and made soft light blending mode .. then added a vignette using the rectangular marquee tool/inverting and softening the edges .. sharpened a bit ..

So sweet looking. You pile image upon image to build up a full impression of Katee's personality. It's like pointillism, sort of. I also like the swirling background of your car door.

Nice collection of expressions. Her paw is reaching out to us in the last photo. I believe, over the years, she has learned to love having her picture taken.

Lovely triptych, Roz. I love the processing - and your adorable subject. It's the left pic that cracks me up. I'm not sure whether she is licking something tasty off the towel or trying to get rid of something she didn't like the taste of.

You should have saved this for the extended challenge!
Put the funny one in the middle, finesse the spaces between pics and you got a wonderful trio of adorable dogs

Nice triptych. I feel like I know Katee so well. She is so special!

Interesting about the Gaussian blur in soft light mode. Is that what give it that great contrast?

That first one is hilarious, like an elf, love it when they do that. My dog also has a hard time with his lip getting stuck on his teeth, he goes from looking so intelligent to so stupid, funny.
