I am in the Big Sister Program and this is my little guy. He reminds me everyday how beautiful and fun life is. He accepts his world with its limitations and is perpetually joyful and happy with the simplists things of life. He is my Hero--I can think of none better

This picture made me smile. He is a true hero. More people should meet him.

Great, compelling subject. Beautiful photo!

Nice isolation of the subject. Front of tray and right finger tips out of focus. More DOF/smaller aperture would have helped this.

The smiling face is a ray of hope to millions.Beautiful composition Great shot. :-).The only blotch- glare at the bottom right of the pic.

Nice shot, and I love the tones. To me, this would be improved by a crop on the top to get rid of the top, brighter portion of the hood, and also the front portion of the tray at the bottom.

too much post processing

he is always gonna be a winner

You have a winner here. What a wonderful little face! Picture, quality wise is excellent.

I really like this photo, it would be my favorite in the challenge if it were not overworked and had a wider DoF. The skin on his face looks like neat image has made it plasticy and his eyes look over sharpened. If I'm wrong I'm sorry but that's how it looks to me. Oh he looks like he would be my Hero as well!

Voted before, but returning for comments and a slight bump. I really like the lighting, it's very dramatic and works here (although it appears a little uneven from burning). I like that you used someone who is challenged as a hero model (at least moreso than some of the toys and dogs in other submissions). One nit is that the skin, particularly on the face, looks kind of overprocessed (NI maybe). Still, 9 from me.

I like your choice of hero in this photo. So often we overlook the heroic people who have so many obstacles in their lives and yet they triumph with their inner strength. Thanks.

Perhaps it is because you overprocessed this shot but his face looks like you cut/pasted it in there and didn´t do a good job on it. The shot itself is good though, just I can´t get over the whole "fake" look so I am going to try and not influence your rating on this shot and give it the average rating of 5.

I like the idea, although the filters used are too strong. Also, I'd like to see the wheelchair - would make the pic 'fuller'.
