Wow, I can't believe I got it without any strange PS filter. Shot with my lens backwards, hand held. This was my second shot. I tried it with different paint filters, and it just didn't need it. Well, hopefully voters will not think it's been heavily photoshopped. I sharpened, levels, saturation, and did some adjustments in RAW to shadows, exposure and temp. Hope I won't get the brown but I'm kinda second guessing myself right about now. Oh Well, 4 ribbons in 15 challenges, If i get the brown that will be 5 in 16!

returning for colors:
A good effect with great color accents and great sweeping lines. Bumping up

I like the technique, the composition and the colors. I don't like the subject and the blown highlights. And i especially like chromatic aberrations. Was that a single element lens?

I thought this was too shiny.

don't like it. colors, lighting, focus, dof--sorry, but none of it is working for me in this image.

There are some nice colours and textures here, but I'm not quite sure about the overall effect. I'm not taken by the quality of the blurring effect, however it was achieved, and the composition comes across as haphazard. The burnt out highlights detract from the shot, and I wish there was a tad more detail in the shot. 6

Very intriguing abstract. I very much appreciate your attempts at blowing out the highlights to make a painterly feel; I think it works quite well. Superb composition, too and nice, wide, tonal range. 8

8 - Good pic. I like the way light is reflected off the feathers. Looks very regal. eg. Mardi Gras. I wonder how it would have looked with more feathers in focus.

Nice, the background works very well here and sets the feathers off well.
