The cord fell out of the phone picking up a call and this idea hit me. I have no special macro lenses. Just put it a against black velvet background and shot away. Adjust hue and saturation a bit and crop.

A brilliant example of where the title and the picture are one.
I earlier grumblued at one entry re their titling explaining how their title competed with their picture. This though is brilliant. It would make a great poster with the text as part of that.

Lacks proper focus

What can I say; it̢۪s been done over and over and over again. But should I penalize your shot for that, NO. Next time maybe a more original shot or angle. With that said I think you have a good micro here. I wish the focal area could have included the entire RJ45 connector not just the front bottom and the yellow cable. There were more colors you could of captured in this shot with a different composition such as the green, red, and black wire that I think would of added to your photo. Good micro and good luck.

This photo looks a bit soft. Did you apply neatimage? It looks as though you used it too strongly.

This shot came up 'randomly' on every single page of thumbnails for me, so I'd better comment on it. I love it. Simple, extremely close up, great focus/clarity. And where you chose to place the subject within the frame is good as well. Maybe not the most 'beautiful' or 'stunning' of pics, but well done, and appropriate for this challenge. ~Heather~
