'I'm Beady-Eyed' (with a 'd' at the end) may have been somewhat more 'natural' speech for people with English as their native tongue.

I can easily relate this shot to 'indecision' but also know that many voters here hang their evaluation on 'their' understanding (and lack thereof) of what and what does not meet a challenge. This is unfortunate, as it would be all the more useful if the effort that went into determining topicality was, instead, invested in examining and discussing the photo.

Since I'm one who toasted you, without a comment, here goes my thoughts.

First off - composition is messy. I have no idea what to look at. I agree with the comment "quick snapshot of something colorful in your daughter's toybox".

As to technical merits, I find it over-saturated, unsharp with too high contrast and with no thoughts when it comes to lightning. However I have no idea how you put creative lightning on something like that. From behind? Low from the side to cast long shadows? I'm uncertain, but not with the onboard flash anyway.

Back to the concept of indecision. I didn't get it - I admit that. I've read your explaination and I still pretty much don't get it. Reading the title didn't help (I'm from Sweden, "beady-eye" meant nothing to me - and with an image of this quality I wasn't going to find out). I feel that image should speak for itself, without the title. The title can / should help, but not be essential.

You have not offended me, but I think your reaction is one of being offended yourself, and although I think you could have deserved more constructive comments, I think the level of your own commitment to making the photo reflects on the quality of the comments. You didn't try very hard - so neither did the community.

indecision.... i got a terrible score and reading the feedback, i must assume the biggest problem is that my picture didn't speak for itself. i'm forced to think of it as 99.9% of all people have never made beads ie for the arm, neck or ankle, so they would never know how indecisive one can be in choosing the next bead.... what color, what size or what shape. so, nope, it's not a "cultural thing", definately "not off topic", not fair to say "can't see how this works for indecision" and imho not deserving of a comment "i'm speechless".

sorry , guys if i offend you be saying this, but i would prefer to get constructive feedback so i can improve... or no feedback at all. rather recommend a disqualification than humiliation by downvoting a picture you don't understand.

Nice colors, and a few nice lines in there, but I think this might be a cultural thing, cause I have no idea how it relates to "indecision"...

Good colors but I don't see how this works for "indecision"

I'm afraid I don't get the connection to indecision.

In my opinion this just looks like a quick snapshot of something colorful in your daughter's toybox. Perhaps with some thought (as to composition, color combinations, DOF, lighting etc) it could have been improved.

Hurts my eyes - too saturated? not well focused?

Challenge link: I'm speechless!!

Image critique: Poor focus, harsh colour, not a bad composition. Don't understand the shot or the title though.

Out of challenge interest: none.
