Wine glasses partially filled with water for the been done before inversion - but with a little twist in the center glass. I'm expecting complaints that the glasses are offset relative to the white/black background, but they have to be to get the effect in the center glass (at least they had to be for me). With the glasses centered on the line, the pattern was plain ugly, and very uneven.

Post processed by desaturating, selecting black and white points to darken the blacks and make the whites whiter (probably overdone, but lighting wasn't great so I had too to get the whites white). Cloned out some dust/specs on my background, and the occasional odd reflection on the wine glasses, and some other things like bright spots at the water line.

Wow, this is beautiful. I really appreciate your taking a different approach. Makes me want to sit down and start looking through different combinations of glasses. :)

Excellent image. Of course it meets the challenge and very well done I might add. The only problem I see with the entire image is the lighting in the black portion of your background. There is an area where the lighting is much stronger than the rest of the image and it does distract slightly from the entire composition. A little touching up there and you will have not just an excellent image but a fantastic image.

not quite centered. I can't decide if that's good or bad. Would like to see a centered one to compare. Good BW.

Two very simillar entries. That is bizzare... I like both of them. I hope none will suffer because of this coincidence. Good luck!

Very nice variation on a familiar theme, extremely well executed. Not sure whether I would have preferred color, the B&W emphasises the shapes.

Great update on an old theme. Really masterful control of the light.

Beautiful in b&w. Not to knock your friend (I assume your friend as the two wine glass shots are very similar) but I prefer your b&w version better. I gave you both 9's though. Nice placement. Well done.

For an idea that is way overdone, this is a nice photo. Just a bit too contrasty; the light areas are too burned out and the dark areas are losing detail.

Elegant and very precise - does it need more contrast of did you want it slightly grey? I think I like it grey - the diamond shape in the middle is my favot=rite.
